Make a Plan …

Make a Plan

Wow! Almost a full week into the New Year, a quarter of the way through January!

Time to make more plans, set daily goals and commit them to paper.

I love new notebooks – a blank page – it can take you anywhere. I’m a bit old-fashioned and love the crisp feel of those clean white pages.

Today, I’m making a daily checklist – to help keep me on track. Every day, I’ll work through my plan, and every evening I’ll check my progress …

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway …

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway

Eleanor Roosevelt said “Do one thing every day that scares you”.

I’ve heard many people say “Feel the fear and do it anyway” – but what is fear – what makes us so fearful?

People don’t like change – it is human nature. Some people prefer to stick with what they know. Even if it isn’t right, it is better than the fear of the unknown.

Fear of failure is something many people many understand. But let’s look at this another way …

What if you become successful?

What if you stop dreaming and your dreams come true?

What if you become truly happy?

What is it you wish for right now? What can you do to make that happen?

If you don’t make any changes … You will not conquer your fears and your life will probably stay the same.

If you take a deep breath, face your fears and jump – just do it anyway, a new exciting future will be waiting for you …

Balance Your World …

Balance Your World

Sometimes it feels like everything is rushing towards you, or worse – speeding away from you …

We are already 5 days into 2017. Take time to ponder, what have you already achieved this year?

Depending on where you are, it is mid-summer or mid-winter.

In my part of the world, we are experiencing a long winter, with no end in sight. It was snowing this morning as I traveled to work in the dark.

I like summer, and I am eagerly awaiting the long, hot sunny days that feel a million years away at the moment. I have made some changes in my life since the New Year Bells chimed, but not as many as I would have liked.

Remembering my earlier posts, take things one step at a time. Stay focused, and take time to balance your world.

Find time to relax, ground yourself and feel centered, remember one small change today can create a completely different outlook a year from now …

Never Ever Give Up …

Never Ever Give Up ...

Never Ever Give Up …

After yesterday’s post, I saw this message on a T-Shirt – what perfect timing!

I’ve heard people say that when you finally give up could be the moment just before you actually succeed.

It would be easier to return to old habits, but today I will continue to drink more water, and stay focused.

Take a moment to think about how far you have already come. Just a few days into the New Year, and already drinking more water. This means less fuzziness, a clearer head – fewer headaches, and that’s just the start…

I managed to post my previous message on time, even though I thought it would not happen. I made a commitment to posting a message every day. And, even when I thought I had failed, I succeeded. Now it is time to step it up and get more organised – so that I don’t risk that feeling of failure again!

Forgive Yourself – Keep On Going!

Forgive Yourself Keep On Going

I missed my daily goal, and didn’t make one small change yesterday. I drove home from work in dark, freezing fog, and I was tired. This is when it would be very easy to just give up – call it quits and slip back into old routines.

This time, I allow myself forgiveness. I will make up for it over the coming days and weeks.

My message to you is Keep On Going – Move Forward, step by step, one day at a time.

Here’s How to Easily Drink More Water…

Here's How to Easily Drink More Water

Our bodies are made up of around 60% water, yet most of us rarely drink enough H2O.

Most people know that drinking water helps prevent dehydration … When you’re thirsty, you’re probably already dehydrated … but water is key to helping our bodies to function properly.

We’re often told to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day, or 2 litres, but the amount we should really drink depends on many factors, including our weight and activity level.

An easy way to start to drink more water is drinking one 500 ml bottle in the morning, just after you wake up – before you eat or drink anything else.

If you drink a 500 ml bottle of water just before you go to bed, this will also help to keep you hydrated while you sleep.

That’s already 1 litre of water!

Drink one or two glasses of water before each meal, and you’ll soon find that you’re easily drinking 2 litres or more each day.

Happy New Year – Welcome 2017

Happy New Year Welcome 2017 The Year of New Beginnings

Welcome 2017, The Year of New Beginnings!

In Numerology, 2017 is a Number One Universal Year, making this a very special new year.

The year ahead is a time for planting the foundation for our lives over the next 9 years. It is a great time to make a new start and focus on what lies ahead.

New Year’s Resolutions are often made and broken within a few days, sometimes hours, of the clock chiming midnight. Perhaps it is better to set goals, small steps to help you find an improved version of you. Day by day, step by step, small changes can make a massive difference.

This year, choose one little thing that you will do differently everyday. One small change every day will create 365 changes by this time next year.

If your goal is to lose weight and get fit, on day one, you could plan to drink more water. Often a good idea after the New Year celebrations. Before you drink or eat anything, drink 250 ml (a large glass) of water. Make a commitment to do this every day. Even better, drink a cup of warm water with lemon in it – a great way to kick start your digestive system.

Then on day 2, plan to exercise for 10 minutes – just 10 minutes to start with. If you haven’t exercised for a while, this is a good way to start. It is 10 minutes more exercise than you did the day before, and if you add this to your daily routine, it will soon start to make a difference. Then, perhaps in a few days time, add another 5 or 10 minutes to your exercise plan.

Eat healthily – if you don’t eat enough fresh fruit and vegetables, add it to your daily meal plan – one portion at a time. Your tastes will soon change, as you start to crave fresh food – healthy, and full of nutrients!

Let’s work together and rediscover ourselves over the next 365 days.

I commit to making one small change every day, and posting it on my blog. Come and join me on this journey…

Goodbye 2016!
